Proclamation Regarding the Rotary Club of Perth
Whereas, the Rotary Club of Perth was chartered by Rotary International in 1946, and
Whereas, Rotary International was founded on February 23, 1905, and
Whereas, the Rotary Club of Perth has made a significant contribution to the quality of life in Perth through its support of such community institutions as the Great War Memorial Hospital, the YAK youth centre, Camp Merrywood, the Perth Medal , the Tay Basin fountains, Algonquin College, Teacher of the Year award, the Perth & District Union Public Library and
Whereas, the Rotary Club of Perth has initiated many activities and programs to encourage literacy, and other community support activities
Therefore we proclaim February 25, 2012 as a day of celebration of the Rotary Club of Perth’s 65 years of giving and urge all to attend their celebratory event at Algonquin College from 2 to 4 p.m. on that day.
