News Release from the Perth Town Council

Town of Perth LogoOctober 5, 2012
At the regular September 2012 meeting, Perth Town Council passed a motion agreeing to work toward building a Splash Pad in Perth. Staff are working with Finnegan Insurance to participate in the Aviva Community Fund in an effort to raise $150,000.00 to support the construction of a Splash Pad at Conlon Farm for the people of Perth and district.

Unlike a traditional grant program, the Aviva Community Fund awards their grant through an on-line public voting mechanism. The project with the most votes receives the funding!

Finnegan Insurance (a broker of Aviva Insurance) has submitted the Perth & District Splash Pad for this funding. We are asking everyone in Perth and district to support this initiative by registering at the following website address to vote for this project. Please note that you are encouraged to vote DAILY in order to increase our chances of being successful for this funding.

Conlon Farm would be the perfect location for a splash pad, as there are already recreational and washroom facilities on the property. The Aviva Fund would make our goal of having a splash pad in Perth a reality in a very short time. If you would like to help build a splash pad in Perth for all families to enjoy, all you have to do is vote! For more information, or to make a personal donation to the project, please contact Shellee Evans, Director of Community
Services, at 613-267-3311.
