Rotary Flood of Food Final Results

The Rotary Club of Perth’s First Flood of Food was a resounding success.

Perth Area Schools; Drummond Central School, Glen Tay Public School, Maple Grove Public School, North Elmsley Public School, Perth and District Collegiate Institute (PDCI), Queen Elizabeth Elementary School, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School and St. John Catholic High School all contributed to the success of this campaign. Rotary thanks the principals, teachers, students, parents and friends for their hard work and contributions.

 Together the schools collected 122 boxes of food weighing 4220 lbs along with $451.51 in cash donations. This bounty was distributed to The Table in Perth and the Lanark Highlands Food Pantry in the Village of Lanark .

 Rotary’s effort was spearheaded by Jeff Dean and Trisha Lee with help from Hugh Colton of Town and Country Chrysler. Thanks also goes to Laurie Weir of Metroland as well as Lake 88.1 for their media coverage of the various events.
